If you want, you can subscribe to an added service provided by this device’s manufacturer. They offer extra Internet security with protection from online viruses, hackers, and the like. Netgear AC1200

  • Netgear AC1200

If you ask people why you should get this product, they’ll simply tell you that “It’s Netgear." It’s true. This company is so well-known in the computer industry that it’s almost instinct to go for their products. They never disappoint.

Out of all the products on this list, this one can boast about having the fastest connection. Once you get it to work, it’ll only be a couple of seconds before you can start enjoying it. The signal it emits is very steady and strong. It's almost as fast as if you're connected to the main router.

In terms of installation, it’s very easy. Just plug it in a socket and follow the instructions on the box. Netgear has plenty of experience in navigating customers through installation processes. Their portals are extremely user-friendly.

Sadly, it only has one Ethernet port, although you’ll never likely use it. Plus, it’s a little expensive. It’s totally worth it, given the features.

  • 3 place :

    D-Link DAP-1320

  • D-Link DAP-1320

If you’re backed into a corner, and you’re really low on budget, go for this one. Dlink would never be your first choice for anything. They don’t have the most reliable products out there, but they’ve survived so far. Why? Because they’re cheap.

When people can’t buy Netgear, they’ll either look for Dlink or make a beeline for TPlink. This extender of theirs is cheap. It doesn’t even have a single Ethernet port, but it gets the job done. It can really extend your WIFI. You won't get a great and strong connection, but at least it won’t be nothing.

Plus, it’s tiny. This little extender hardly take up any space. Aside from that, you’ll most likely never use that Ethernet port anyway so it's not that big of a deal that it doesn’t have it.

Still, it’s less than half the price of the Netgear, and it really does give you a connection. Just don’t expect a strong signal. Expect, at least, average. Unlike the Dlink above, this one has an Ethernet port. In case you need a stronger connection with that part of the house, just connect a cable through that. It would improve the WIFI in the area.

In terms of installation, don’t worry it’s easy. There’s a step by step guide included in the box, but if you get lost, just Google it. Many people have this product. There are plenty of video instructions on YouTube on how to install it. Just remember to pay attention to the lights in front of the extender. That would let you know if you’re doing it right.

Here’s a good one from Dlink. The DAP-1520 is a pricier, stronger cousin to the DAP-1320. It provides a more reliable connection. Plus, it’s undetectable. Unless you have its exact name, you won’t be able to connect to it. This is very handy considering how easy it is to get through WPA2 protected connections.

This little extender doesn’t have many impressive features. It’s really just a basic extender. It’s easy to use though and has a very user-friendly software. Plus, it’s small and wouldn’t take up that much space.

This is the best of the cheapest products on the market. If you can shell out a little more, go for this one than the previous two above.

WiFi Range Extended Buying Guide – What to Look at?

While the best Wi-Fi range extender may seem like the perfect fit for your home, you’re going to make sure that the device can work with your existing modem and router. Various WiFi extenders can take the place of routers, which help eliminate compatibility issues, but if you’re using certain modems, you may have to double check. Here is a quick look at some of the issues you should check before purchasing the best Wi-Fi booster:

#1 Compatibility

Best Wi Fi Range Extender

The biggest consideration you’ll have with a router range extender is what type of WiFi standard you’ll need to connect. Older WiFi models use one method for connectivity, but now you’ll have to differ between two radio frequency bands; 2.4 GHz and 5GHz. If you want to learn how to extend the WiFi signal, then you’re going to have to talk to the manufacturer. A WiFi signal extender doesn’t upgrade your internet speeds. You should consider reading WiFi repeater reviews and maybe even find a universal WiFi range extender.

#2 Connection

One other major issue is that there are different internet speeds depending on WiFi N and AC. These speeds range from 300 Mbps for N and can go up to 1,900 Mbps. You’ll need to check the router you currently have and see if it’s free from ISPs. Then you’ll need to determine if you’ll need to buy an extender that is compatible with your router.

#3 Frequencies

Most WiFi devices use a 2.4 GHz bandwidth, but this makes the network connection more congested. A 5 GHz with an extender is the fastest wireless extender which is less likely to drop connection or have interference from other WiFi devices. You’ll also find that a 5 GHz bandwidth has a lower range than a 2.4 GHz. On the one hand, the newest AC standard only features connectivity with 5 GHz frequencies. However, this doesn’t have anything to do with AC WiFi extender protocols.

The best Wi-Fi range extender 5GHz AC WiFi extender for routers provide you with higher performance and can work for longer distances. But you should always consider upgrading the router when there’s a new model if you’re trying to avoid getting an extender. In conclusion, try and search the internet for some WiFi range extender reviews which will show how to boost WiFi.

In a nutshell, which WiFi extender should you get? What reliable WiFi booster should you use? Should you get a plugin version of Wi-Fi range Extender? The answer is, it’s up to you to decide what type of extender you get. Thus, if you’re looking for specific features, you should read the reviews to help you find the top range extender.

This the sixth time I am giving a try for a WiFi extender, and I hope it works this time. Although, those I have gotten in the past were not the top-rated wifi range extender and I am finally given a chance to popular opinions. Reviews show that 5GHz AC WiFi Extender can route and reroute signals to my location. I will have to trust that.
